food food and MORE FOOD!!!
god help me...i just keep thinking of cooking..what to buy to cook..how to cook..what to cook with..what sauce to buy..planning my budget...that i cant even study..my brain keeps drifting...here are some pics...let them speak for themselves (show how crazy i am now...) i am very far behind in my readings (seriously, haven completed those tt were taught 2 weeks ago) cos everyday just keep thinking of food and cooking...haha..
lamb, rolled oats and pasta kebab with tofu skin 
baked tomato bread and wheat bran salad
creamy egg noodles
mixed vegetables in fruit juice topped with diced tomatoes and dried apricots
mock laksa
--definitely not spicy cos i don take spicy stuff..hee~
tacos and fish salad drizzled with sweet and sour tomato dressing
diced pork with mashed bread in dark lemon sauce
--i decided to use this as a spread for my bread too..delicious!
mixed veg--potato,mushrooms and cabbage soup with lemon and tomato salsa
lamb, rolled oats and pasta kebab with tofu skin
--one of the few kebabs tt i tried..hmm, at long last my love for kebabs is satisfied..can make 1 for myself in sg..kaka..
--decided to make it "international" too..tts why it has chinese, and western elements in it..the bread is a lebanese bread and i used chinese lemon sauce, dill and mustard sauce and italian chunky tomato sauce..hahah anyhow mix tgt but it tastes nice :)

桂林游记
人说来到香港不去一趟大陆是一种浪费，为了不浪费这天时地利的大好机会，我和两位朋友跟团参加了五天四夜桂林山水之旅。
巴士途经贺州（“酒是故乡醇”和“茶是故乡浓”的拍摄地）再到杨朔，路程中远眺了月亮山，就在吃饭的地方的正对面，所以有机会拍下照片
银子岩，让我难忘钟乳石岩洞。里面安装了大量人工彩灯，整个岩洞七彩缤纷。
其中最让人叹为观止的是“广寒深宫”--这是一处浅水滩，由于水实在太清，七彩钟乳石的倒影完整呈现，像深不见底的水下世界，又像龙王宫就在脚下。
去了尧山，桂林境内最高峰，到山峰必须乘坐无遮式缆车半天吊几十分钟，这样一来和桂林山水有更直接的接触~鞋带，绑好了。相机，挂好在手上了。手袋，握紧了。出发！！（还好这天风不大，缆车不会摇晃）
还坐了竹筏游漓江支流-遇龙河，看风景的同时也看冒牌刘三姐与船上的旅客对唱，看鸳鸯捉鱼。短短的一个小时，我真正感受到了桂林山水甲天下的名副其实。
原以为跟团旅行，都是aunty uncle,一定不习惯，但原来aunty uncle们都很可爱，而且比我们还精力充沛。原以为花不足500港币的团费的旅行团，一定不能要求吃好的住好的，但四天来住的是非常不错的酒店，吃的餐餐至少8菜1汤（像养猪），只能说：物超所值。
ps:大陆的卫生间。。。我终于亲身经历过了。。不是普通的难受arhhh...

夏天寻找沙滩的游戏开始。

为了让它显得更值得庆祝一点，

原来 时间它真的是世上最勤劳的

kids and development
i have started working here..to my dear bao bao..you think too highly of me, i wont be able to get an internship tt easily..the work i got is nothing as high class as an internship..
i am working as an after sch child care worker near a primary school. you basically prepare afternoon tea and supervise the kids during play and coach them with any homework if they need help. There's also the washing up, cleaning the toilets and learning to handle any quarrels between kids.
i work for about 3 and a half hrs a week with a vietnamese guy who is born in aussie and studies medicine in UQ.
i love this job cos i love kids and some of them are reali lovely. they are so cute and pretty i wld definitely love to take their pics but due to the nature of the job, i am not allowed to. they call me by name and especially those kids from prep school, they can be reali sweet and it warms my heart everytime i see their smiles.
also, i have been to a development discussion on climate change and justice with an NGO--Oxfam Australia, which is linked to Oxfam international. I met some reali great people there who share the same interests as me in development issues. we bring our food there to share--potluck, and after a presentation by the speaker we have some discussion before dinner. it was great sharing my views and hearing what others have to say which reali enriched my knowledge!
i also got to noe a lovely canadian lady who shared with me a romantic love story of how she met her brisbane bf years ago during a thailand trip. they are getting married next year.
i will be attending a fairtrade seminar and discussion next fri at UQ where i will learn about fairtrade coffee, forest conservation and the fairtrade system. i'm looking forward to it but hopefully it wont come so soon cos i have an essay due then! wish me luck as i struggle with words again..
